QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
Job description

We are seeking a new team member to serve as checks-and-balance within our production department. This role will be pivotal in developing quality standards, conducting tests and identifying issues within the production of our products or services. Ultimately, working with a team to ensure our final products meet our organization’s standards across the board. This position is full-time, salaried, and reports to the Production Operations Manager.Responsibilities/ Duties – Duties and activities that constitute the performance of the job:
- Document quantity, quality, type, weight, test result data.
- Ensure floor compliance with QMS and QMS documentation of floor practices.
- Monitor the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Provide guidance to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage employees.
- Remove faulty products from the floor, notify Inventory Specialists.
- Maintain, monitor, and clean work areas.
- Examine products and packaging for damage, defects, or shortages, using spec sheets and standards charts.
- Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping; identify any issues to the Production Operations Manager.
- Work with Inventory Specialist on proper rotation for all inventory and various items.
- Perform daily quality inspections for all location teams.
- Complete daily dump and damage report and give it to the Production Operations Manager.
- Pay close attention to damaged or inferior products and bring to the attention of Production Operations Manager
- Work with Supply Chain Analyst/Inventory Specialist to complete annual supplier review and renewals
- This position may require travel
Minimum Education:
- Professional degree or equivalent work experience
Experience Required
- 4+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance
